Love Letters

I'm a little late on the jump, but the final three murals of Steven Powers' Love Letters project is finally complete. Powers, in conjunction with the Philadelphia Mural Arts program created a series of 50 rooftop murals along the Market Street corridors. I remember Facebook statusing the Prepay Is On quote all of a few months ago and I've been hooked ever since. Let's ring in the new year the right way. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

Ben Sherman for Gilt Groupe

Finally, clothes that I would actually consider buying on Gilt. Ben Sherman is one of my favorite brands that I never really get the chance to talk about [everyone LOVES riding Ralph Lauren's hang dang.] Mod, narrow cuts are probably one of my favorite fits and I just can't seem to go wrong with it. They don't really have any short sleeve dress shirts [my favorite] but the selection is great none the less. Here's some of my favorites.










If you didn't know, Gilt Groupe is an online, invite only [not really] retailer offering designer merchandise at sample sale prices. They usually have some great stuff. Look it up.

Shakira and The Kid

To be quite honest, I've never wanted a Shakira record more than I do after hearing this song. by itself, awesome, but with Cudi?...Loss of words. The style, the dance, and the subject suits Shakira, and with the addition of Cudi on the remix everything's taken to a whole new level. Need I say SEXY? Turn up your speakers kids.

I think I HAVE to make an exception. RIHANNA LOOKS GOOD. She generally always looks good but especially in her GQ JAN10 spread. To not seem like so much of a perv I've provided her outfits [or lack of] below. What a way to ring in the new year. OH YES.

About Vampire Weekend's new video? Apparently it was released about 4 weeks ago so I suppose I'm just a tad late on things. Needless to say, the video is LEGIT. Unlike Cudi's record [sorry Kid] the concept is of the sort that I've never seen before. It's as if that had absolutely no buget at all....but on purpose. I love the song and I truly can't wait for the rest this January. Cousins.

Aquascutum London

What's a better reputation than being the inventor of the trench coat? Aquascutum [Latin for shield] has been manufacturing grade A clothing since 1851. Being that a majority of the outerwear is made right in England's Northamptonshire factory, each piece is in no way absent of traditional craftsmanship and authenticity. I didn't do much fall/winter coverage so I figured this would make a good a time as any. Hey ladies! I didn't forget you either.

Cudder Anthem

Pursuit of Happiness has finally arrived for our viewing pleasure. It goes to say that I like Cudi and the video, but it seems to be lacking, I don't know, MGMT and RATATAT? Drizzy and Consequence made cameos but my version seems to be missing their verse on the song [they aren't on the song] . The concept has been done before as well, but even after all of that, I'm still down with Cudi. Do your thing browski.

Hobnox Rocks

Hobnox Audiotool is a free electronic music studio that works right from your internet browser. It's set up almost like an actual recording studio in a way that YOU have to make the connections between pedals, channels, splitters, composers etc. Because of this, composing beats is a bit tedious but definitely worth it once you figure it out. I found this and played around for about two hours or so. I almost didn't go to class. VERY ADDICTING. Here's one I did. Enjoy!
