Shalamar

I was debating whether or not to post this in fear of losing the little bit of street cred I still have left, but I think I might of lost it all when I posted that Wham video. OH WELL, not too many of my people know about this blog anyway so I think I'm good for now. As a side note I'd like to let you guys in on a little secret.... THE 80s WERE NOT THAT COOL. Especially in whatever genre these guys are suppose to be in. Take a look at the lead singer. Leather unit, pretty ass hair, boots, printed belt, with get this, raccoon tails....What am I talkin about this dude's cool as hell [TELL NO ONE].
To be pretty honest, the song is good though. I could see me cruising, pickin up a few girls bangin this one.

Why People Love America

I guess classic just never goes out of style. J.Crew spring/summer 2010 lookbook. I like how no matter how far you look into their past, you'll ALWAYS find the same items just reinvented in a new way: denim shirt, chill khaki's, wingtips, and great jeans. I know I'm still young [and fine] but sometimes graphic tee's just don't do it for me. It's a shame how I already know what I'm gonna wear to my first major interview and I still have three years of college [and a little grad school] in between me and that day. I DON'T THINK THEY'RE READY FOR ME.

Giving up the Gun

Ok, by now you all probably know how I feel about Vampire Weekend. More so than not, you're probably extremely tired of me posting about them but as long as their music is legit then I just can't help it. This isn't one of my favorite songs off of the album but even my least favorite is better than some of the trash I've listened to now and days [anything on lil wayne's rebirth. NEVER BELIEVE THE HYPE]. The video's pretty decent, and do I need to mention the list of celebs in the video? I'm not gonna lie, lil jon came out of nowhere. Thanks to STEPH K for the reminder.

Magick Outlaw

I don't know about you but I'm pretty tired of seeing floods of the masses wearing crappy graphic tees. TIME FOR A CHANGE. Outlaw Print Co. has a pretty bomb style, and I love how every graphic looks like some obscure band logo. I actually have the Anonymous Fury tee and someone came up to me and was like, "nice shirt. You listen to them? I've heard of them they're pretty cool...." I wanted to laugh in their face and tell them how full of BS they were, but he was pretty cool so I just pretend that it was a real band for the remainder of the conversation. O the kids these days.

All in All, Today was a Good Day

I failed to fill you in on the exact date  and everything but today was my birthday. To be honest, I had been a little down about not have a pretty young stallion to spend the day with, but as it turns out I had a great time. Me and my significant other the fam spent most of yesterday together at the go cart spot doing what we do best, livin fast and playin hard [yes, they were murdered at the air hockey table]. Today was also, once again, another very chill day accompanied by cake, macaroni, and 19 very well lit candles. All in all, today was a good day.

We Hood, We Votin

AND THROWIN IT UP! I try not to buy into Taz Arnold's solo hype [I liked em with Sa-Ra]  but I just can't help but not to. Whether you're down with Obama or not, you can't deny how bomb this song is. So what if he repeats the same line over and over, I watched it at least 8 times the day I first saw it. Its been circulating for a little over a year and some change but then again I can't keep all the good stuff to myself.

Japan Japan

Small glimpse at Japanese owned, Nonnative's 2010 spring/summer collection. Lots of different themes and collabs this year,  varying from eye wear to mountain wear, to played down suiting. I guess there's nothing wrong with street wear and a little bit of edge. Take note of how he rocks the keffiyeh without looking like a complete Urban Outfitters asshole. Honestly, I appreciate it.

2 Reasons to Not Hate White People

Now that I've got a little bit of experience under my belt, I've decided that it was about time for me to add some stability to justnorman.blogspot.com. I usually just do the lone wolf thing, posting whatever whenever, but there's nothing wrong with a little predictability every once and a while. I see a little too many "Music Mondays," and "Sexy Girl Saturdays" so I've decide to do something just a little different. On this day, February 3, 2010, I bring you, once a month.... 2 REASONS TO NOT HATE WHITE PEOPLE. I know what you're thinking, "he's such a maverick, he's so hardcore, what a rebel this guy." And to that I say....I know huh? HERE WE GO....

To  me, there's only three legitimate music genres that came out of the 80's: punk, ska, and hip-hop. Everything else for the most part is pretty much trash [save Whitesnake, Nobody hates on Whitesnake]. Considering that the song above is in none of the three categories mentioned, one might wonder why it's here. Even though it is indeed  a train wreck of a song, I just can't get away from it. I just love unconventional christmas songs [no homo] And plus, I'm tired of hearing Mariah Carey sing all i want for christmas is you.

Now I will admit, there's no white people in this video but come on guys.... WHO ELSE WOULD DO THIS? And guess what. This isn't just any youtube video, it's a movie trailer for an actual movie. For 9.99 you can own 60 minutes of hardcore video pizza action. Somebody buy it and let me know how it ends[It's not on IMDb anywhere].
